Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FGR) extradited Humberto Arredondo Soto, the alleged leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, to the United States Government, who is wanted by the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania for the crime of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
In a press release, the Mexican Government granted the extradition of Arredondo Soto to its counterpart in the United States, after the efforts of the Attorney General’s Office. The fugitive was handed over at the International Airport of Toluca City, State of Mexico, to the US agents designated for his final transfer to Pennsylvania.
“Humberto “A” is identified as one of the main drug suppliers for a criminal organization in Phoenix, Arizona. Between April 2022 and January 2023, the extraditable trafficked large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine from Mexico for distribution in the United States of America,” says the Attorney General’s Office.
In August 2023, Arredondo Soto was located in a property located in the town of Guadalupe Victoria, municipality of Culiacán, which was used for illicit activities.
Humberto was arrested along with his possible accomplice, Jesús Balbino López Soto, on August 2 in a joint operation by the National Guard (GN), the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), the National Intelligence Center (CNI) and the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
