There’s only one player set to back up tonight from Wednesday’s wild State of Origin decider.

NSW bench forward Mitch Barnett has been named to start at prop for the Warriors.

Barnett played 48 minutes on debut, and had a particularly interesting start to his Origin career.

He came on as an HIA replacement for Angus Crichton in the third minute, then was subbed off when he returned 15 minutes later. Then he came on the 29th minute for Payne Haas, but he had to leave the field again less than two minutes later when Cameron Murray was sin-binned, because Murray was on the bench. So Barnett was the unlucky man who had to make way to make it 12 on 12, returning once Murray’s sin-bin was over at the start of the second half.

Barnett stayed on until the 72nd minute and took 11 runs for 72 metres, 20 after contact. He made 30 tackles and didn’t miss any.
