Tensions in the mountain municipality of Badiraguato have been growing for some time now, as a war was declared by former key allies in the city of Culiacan between La Mayiza and Los Chapitos. In May of 2025, Oscar Manuel Gastelum Uribe “El Musico” and Fausto Isidro Meza Flores” Chapito Isidro” reportedly sided with Ismael Zambada Sicarios “Mayito Flaco” on his war against the Los Chapitos Cartel. As El Musico and Chapo Isidro sided with Mayito Flaco, dozens of Los Chapitos lieutenants decided to switch over to the criminal organization of El Musico-Sagitario-Chapo Isidro. Los Chapitos reportedly made an alliance with the CJNG Cartel as they lost dozens of former key members.
GUANO GUZMAN AND LOS CHAPITOS RELANTIONSHIP
After the extradition to the United States of Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera, Los Chapitos assumed full power of the Guzman criminal faction within the Sinaloa Cartel. Reputable new media sites reported growing tensions between Ivan Archivaldo, Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar, and their uncle, Aureliano Guzman Loera, “Guano,” brother of Joaquin Guzman Loera, as Los Chapitos grew in power from 2016 to 2023.

El Musico undoubtedly is the heir to the throne of Marcos Arturo Beltran Leyva; whoever questions this can do some research, as the numerous indictments that El Musico, 23, or Salgado faces in the United States speak for themselves. El Musico is considered the boss of Fausto Isidro Meza Flores.

As the war in Culiacan between La Mayiza VS Los Chapitos spreaded like wildfire, both El Musico and El Chapo Isidro entered the war and sided with Mayito Flaco as mentioned earlier.
El Guano Guzman, who controls La Tuna and parts of Badiraguato, appeared not wanting to get involved. However, tensions between El Musico and Guano erupted, a source reached out to me and mentioned,” both Musico and Guano came to disagreements over some territories.” Guano Guzman and his armed wing, Gente de Guano or GDG, as of late August and the middle of September, can be confirmed to have entered the war in Sinaloa and are on the side of his nephews, the Los Chapitos Cartel.

At this moment, it is unknown who has the upper hand in the Badiraguato mountains in the clashes between Gente de Guano and Los Musicos. Recent videos suggest Los Musicos may have faced some losses, but we really do not know who is winning.
Aureliano Guzman Loera, I can confirm, is receiving help from Los Calabazas, an armed wing of the fallen, powerful druglord Mario Alberto Lugo Lara, “Mario Calabazas”, former key ally of and ordered to be eliminated by Fausto Isidro Meza Flores, “Chapo Isidro”. Clashes between Gente de Guano and Los Musicos officially started to occur in September 2025.
