We’ve seen plenty of “transanity” over the last few years, with transgender extremists demanding we call males “women,” mothers “birthing people,” and individuals “they.” My general philosophy has always been, “you be you, and I’ll be me,” and that’s all well and good — but there are two places where that concept is overruled and where I believe we as a society need to draw a red line.

One: When it comes to this advocating that we mutilate minors suffering from gender dysphoria to “become” their chosen “gender identity,” just say no; and two, when it comes to allowing biological males to compete against females, often taking their trophies and regularly injuring them, it is so obviously wrong that it boggles the mind that anyone would champion the practice.
It’s one of the most bizarre and insidious movements that has ever gained traction in the United States. But billionaire violence advocate and Democrat candidate to be the next California governor, Tom Steyer, is all in on males in girls’ sports — in fact, he hopes that controversial trans athlete AB Hernandez of Jurupa Valley High School beats the hell out of the ladies in the upcoming state championship:

“I’m so proud of you,” Steyer says. For what, beating young women when you have every biological advantage possible? What, now we’re celebrating weakness and cowardice?
We could just wave off Steyer as a no-consequence, rich old kook— but he’s running a close third in the crucial, unpredictable race against Republican Steve Hilton, android-like former Biden Department of Health & Human Services chief Xavier Becerra, and others. In other words, there are a disturbing number of voters in the Golden State who take this fanatic and his toxic views seriously.

In an interview conducted before Hilton appeared at a rally with former NCAA women’s soccer player Sophia Lorey, California state superintendent candidate Sonja Shaw, and Olympic gold medalist Stephanie Brown, he brought some actual sanity to the conversation:
“People’s rights must be protected, but they can not be protected at the cost of the vast majority… you have a tiny tiny number of people who are imposing their view on the majority, and hurting them in the process, and that’s got to stop.”
How would he deal with the issue? He’d take it straight to the courts:
“The first thing we have to do is overturn the law that set all this in motion, AB 1266, that was passed in 2013, that’s why we’ve been living with this for so long,” Hilton said. “That law violates the California state constitution… I will immediately suspend the law while we begin legal proceedings to overturn it.”
Meanwhile, the current governor, the apparently emasculated Gavin Newsom, has shown unbelievable weakness on the issue despite admitting on his podcast in March 2025 that boys playing girls’ sports was “deeply unfair.” He has done nothing about the scourge since then and has stood idly by as Hernandez and others have taken title after title from females. These girls have spent years devoting themselves to their sport — only to see victory gobbled up by the jaws of defeat.

Newsom has two daughters, Steyer one. How can they look their offspring in the eye when they not only allow but advocate for disgustingly unfair policies? As the father of three lovelies, I can tell you it infuriates me. What do they tell their girls? How can Newsom argue that he’s protecting them?
Both of these hypocrites will tell you face-to-face that they are feminists and strong advocates of women’s rights, but as their actions show, they are actually the enemies of females. They’re allowing the interests of troubled teenage dudes to take precedence over the well-being of California girls, and in Steyer’s case, cheering on what is, in effect, abuse.
What happened to celebrating real men who protect the women they love — especially their own daughters?
