It Should Surprise No One That the Democrats Love Socialism

CNN is shocked, shocked:

CNN’s statistician Harry Enten BREAKS DOWN the “stunning” rise of socialism in the Democratic Party. “Capitalism has absolutely fallen through the floor. Look at this: it’s now just 42% of Democrats who have a favorable view of capitalism. Socialism, on the other hand, has risen like a rocket…”

CNN shouldn’t be surprised at all. No one should. When the U.S. educational establishment is made up of left-wing hacks who despise the U.S. and the capitalistic system, you are going to get American youth who hate the U.S. and love socialism.

That’s how things have gone in the U.S. since the 1970s. After the Vietnam War, the crazed, dumb leftist hippies took charge on college campuses, and eventually, took over the K -12 system as well. And the indoctrination began. Young minds were taught that the U.S. was an evil colonialist power that loved to slaughter brown peoples. That the U.S. was racist and sexist. That capitalism harmed the poor. That millionaires and billionaires – there were no trillionaires yet – were rapacious and sneakily dominating our nation for their own benefits. (Especially the Jews among them.) That punishing criminals was racist. That Republicans/Conservatives of all stripes were Nazis, despite the Nazis being a party of the “National Socialist” left. (This lie promulgated by Soviet propaganda, which had to be obeyed.) That Republicans/Conservatives were fascistic and anti-democratic. That Republicans/Conservatives were Christian religious fundamentalists who wanted to discriminate against others, despite the current Republican president being a thrice-married man who is in favor of gay marriage. That Western philosophy and culture were bad. That sexual minorities must not only be tolerated but celebrated. That Israel was an American colonialist project imposed on the native Middle Easterners by the Jewish cabal controlling the U.S. Etc.

With at least 60 plus years of this deliberate and massive miseducation, large numbers of the American population have become nothing more than arrogant, mean-spirited, mal-educated morons. The Democrats completely depend on them to win their elections. Decades ago, Evan Thomas, a leftist reporter who was also the grandson of the longtime Socialist Party presidential candidate, Norman Thomas, was honest enough to admit that left-wing bias among the MSM was worth “maybe 15 (percentage) points.” And the GOP, too, is not immune. Many conservative Republican voters have received the same educational propaganda, and even if some of that propaganda is shaken off by a “red pill” experience, the leftist assumptions about other issues still hide underneath. 

That was the whole point of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA: to correct the massive leftist miseducation of American youth.

But getting back to the Democrats’ love of socialism, what’s especially unbelievable about their love of socialism is how it conflicts with the real history of the recent world. I am old enough to remember when the Soviet Union collapsed, and the Berlin Wall that divided communist Germany from capitalist Germany was torn apart. Contrary to more (current) leftist slop peddled at the universities, communism – also known as socialism – failed because of its economic doctrines, and not because it was also a brutal dictatorship with few freedoms available to its population. The communists/socialists misjudged human nature; if results are mandated, then far too many participants will be tempted to be “free riders” who mooch off the system. Or, as Margaret Thatcher (basically) once said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

In the past, in the U.S., after periods of leftist control over governments, there was a reaction against the chaos created by leftist policies, including their socialism and soft-on-crime policies. Even in New York City, the left could push too far, and “sane” Democrat Ed Koch, and then Republican Rudy Giuliani, were elected to reverse course. 

The problem today is that the left-wing strategy is more dangerous. In contrast to earlier decades, the elite leftists have incited their base voters into such crazed and violent behavior that they can no longer be reasoned with. Even as many of their state and local Democrat governments are circling the drain because of horrifically bad left-wing policies, the leftist elite have gotten their voters so wound up that by simply crying out, “Trump is the Devil,” the Democrat elites will get unwavering support for their candidates from the Democrat base voters.

Which is exactly what has happened in California.

So, none of us should be surprised that CNN’s polling has found that Democrats love socialism and hate capitalism. The average Democrat voter now is AOC, and like AOC, they don’t want to shut up about the little that they know about the real world.
