Unbelievable: ‘Scrooge’ PA House Speaker Ejects Lawmaker for Patriotic Outfit

We’ve seen the bratty Left in this country pouting over the widespread patriotism displayed at World Cup matches, their efforts to kill fireworks celebrations for our nation’s 250^th birthday, and their desire to stop you from displaying your American flag. It’s been frankly a disgusting exhibition and reveals just how far many progressives have sunk into the anti-American, woke-at-all-costs abyss.

Nowhere was this more evident than in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. A lawmaker was removed from the floor of the state House for the crime of… wearing a suit with an American flag theme. Democrats, who have a one-seat majority in the chamber, were so triggered that they immediately ordered him to take off the jacket or get the heck out.

They’ll accept Pride outfits, but not patriotic displays:

You would think that wearing a red, white and blue jacket in the days before our nation’s 250th birthday would be a fun, positive gesture. Well you thought wrong.

Speaker McClinton removed Rep. Eric Davanzo from the House floor on Tuesday for his American flag suit.

Meanwhile, Democrats wore progressive, pride-themed shirts and hats throughout June.

This just let’s you know where the Democrats priorities are, and those priorities certainly aren’t the American people or Pennsylvania.

It’s beyond theater of the absurd.

Here’s how the lunacy went down:

Davanzo, who represents a swath of Westmoreland County between Pittsburgh and Greensburg, said he was shocked by the reaction of House Speaker Joanna McClinton, D-Southwest Philadelphia, when he came to Tuesday’s session sporting a red, white and blue suit and tie.

Davanzo told Fox News Digital he walked around the chamber greeting colleagues and eventually stopped to chat with House Minority Whip Timothy O’Neal, R-Washington.

“We were talking, I turned around when a House photographer got a picture… and the next thing I know Whip O’Neal is gone.”

When O’Neal came back, he told Davanzo, “You’re not going to like this,” and informed him that Speaker McClinton had ordered his removal. “I’m like, ‘what? You’ve got to be kidding,'” Davanzo recalled.

At first, he refused to leave, but then a House security guard entered the chat and said he either needed to get out or take off the incredibly offensive attire. Davanzo refused to take the jacket off and left.

Sadly, we’ve grown used to the Left’s endless whining, debasing America, and putting on performative displays, but this was nothing more than a bullying, despotic act that was low even by their standards.

“We don’t allow costumes on the floor of the House,” said McClinton. Davanzo was quick to point out, “If I wore a LGBT scarf, nothing said about that.”

We’ve seen just about enough of these anti-American nitwits. The joke’s going to be on them, though, because America’s 250^th is going to be a huge party and millions of Americans are going to enjoy it while they sit at home and watch MS NOW.
