True to form, the Indianapolis Colts have taken another loss.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has deported former NFL player Daniel Adongo, a criminal alien from Kenya.

Adongo, convicted of multiple criminal offenses, was illegally in the country due to an expired visa.
He was detained under the Laken Riley Act, which mandates detention for illegal aliens guilty of committing certain crimes.
In Adongo’s case, that includes criminal mischief, for which he was sentenced to a year in jail. His other alleged offenses include felony intimidation, battery and disorderly conduct.
In March, an immigration judge issued an order for his deportation. That order was executed on June 20.
“This dangerous individual was clearly a threat to the community, which is now safer since he’s been removed,” ICE Chicago Assistant Field Office Director Douglas Thompson said. “Those who violate immigration law are held equally accountable, including former professional athletes.”
“Since Day One, DHS law enforcement has been delivering on President Trump’s promise to the American people to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens including murderers, rapists, child sex abusers, gang members, and terrorists,” he continued.
“Nearly 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. More than 3 million illegal aliens are out of the country and counting. Our message is clear: If you come to our country illegally, we will find you, we will arrest you, and we will deport you,” he added.
The ex-Colts linebacker once flew all over the field, now he is being flown back to Africa. But he is far from the only star athlete to have his career put on ICE.

In July of last year, Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. was arrested for overstaying his visa and lying on a green card application. He was deported to Mexico, where he faced organized crime charges.
In May, Syracuse University basketball player John Bol Ajak was slated for deportation to Sudan after spending more than a month in ICE custody.
In June 2025, 19-year-old Honduran soccer player Emerson Colindres was apprehended by ICE and ordered for deportation.
There are a number of cases of athletes being targeted for ICE arrest and deportation, ranging from volleyball players to soccer players, and now, former NFL players.
In nearly all of these stories, you see the activist media make a common refrain: These athletes were deported despite not having any ‘criminal offenses.’
This Woke gaslighting misses the elephant in the room: It is against the law to illegally enter the United States.
This is not a “victimless crime.” Illegal entry into the United States suddenly gives whoever shows up the right to claim taxpayer funded benefits.
These benefits range from public school education (and all of the accommodation for their foreign language) to welfare programs to subsidized housing, and even in some insane cases, to in-state tuition.
A House report in 2024 laid out the financial burden:
- The lifetime fiscal drain (taxes paid minus costs) for each illegal immigrant is about $68,000
- 59 percent of households headed by illegal immigrants use one or more major welfare programs
- Estimated 4 million children of illegal immigrants in public schools created $68.1 billion in costs in 2019
- The costs of providing emergency care to illegal aliens likely total $7 billion annually
- Illegal immigrants likely receive $42 billion in benefits

While these sports athletes’ cases are being turned into sob stories, nobody in the media seems to care about the affordability crisis, which is being driven significantly by illegal immigration.
The Federal Reserve confirmed that unchecked immigration led to a massive surge in housing prices. Skyrocketing energy prices and grocery costs are aggravated by excess demand stemming from tens of millions of foreigners.

So, the United States is entering the “red zone.” Instead of threatening to score a touchdown, the country stands on the brink of economic collapse.
Deporting illegal aliens is a necessary step to putting America’s house in order.
ICE has sent illegal aliens a strong message: Unlike professional sports, this is no longer a game.
