Australia captain Alyssa Healy has announced she will retire from all forms of cricket after a multi-format series against India in February and March.

The wicketkeeper started playing for Australia in 2010 as a 19-year-old and has had a lock on the gloves for Australia for the past decade-and-a-half.

“I’m still passionate about playing for Australia, but I’ve somewhat lost that competitive edge that’s kept me driven since the start, so the time feels right to call it a day,” she said.

If Healy plays every game of the series against India, starting on February 15, she will have played more than 300 international matches.

The series features three T20s in Sydney (Feb 15), Canberra (Feb 19) and Adelaide (Feb 21); followed by ODIs in Brisbane (Feb 24) and Hobart (Feb 27 and Mar 1); and a Test at the WACA in Perth from March 6 to 9.

If she plays all seven matches she will finish with a total of 302 international matches played, including 11 Tests, 126 ODIs and 165 T20s.
