Grassroots Conservatives have been criticizing RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel ahead of the upcoming chair election.

After TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk began supporting Harmeet Dhillon in the RNC chair race, Ronna McDaniel started to attack Kirk’s TPUSA group.

Speaking with Fox News last week, McDaniel questioned how many voters did TPUSA actually register and how many young voters truly turned out for the midterms.

“McDaniel took issue with Turning Point USA for pushing Dhillion” because Dhillon has “never ran a state party or campaign.”

Kirk responded to McDaniel’s negative comments about TPUSA on Twitter.

“Ronna, thanks for asking. Turning Point logged more than 500k volunteer hours this election cycle. TPAction directly contacted and engaged over 5 million voters,” Kirk said. “We hosted well over 100 major door knocking events and rallies in target states and districts.”

In a series of tweets, Kirk listed off TPUSA’s election work and called on McDaniel to be thankful for TPUSA’s activism.

Kirk explained how the rightwing activist group registered “tens of thosuands of new voters,” “hosted Ron DeSantis rallies in 6 states supporting more than a dozen Governor/Senate/Congressional candidates,” “messaged to Hispanic voters in South Florida, Phoenix, and Tucson,” and “supported Mike Lee and Andy Biggs against Romney-backed ‘Independent’ plants.”

“Instead of attacking the only youth org in the country actually doing something, maybe you should be thankful we are doing the work,” Kirk continued.

“This is exactly why you should not longer be chair – this is why 98% of our attendees want you fired. If I had a 98% disapproval rating I would resign.” the TPUSA founder added, citing a straw poll held at a recent TPUSA event.

The RNC chair election will be held on January 27th.
