“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
Carlos Miguel M., alias “El Abulon,” identified as one of the top leaders of the Colima Cartel, was arrested on Wednesday in an operation in the municipality of Coahuayana, Michoacan.
El Abulon is identified as second in command of the Colima Cartel, behind Jose Bernabé Brizuela Meraz aka La Vaca.
His capture took place in the community of El Ranchito, outside a convenience store, where he was intercepted by federal authorities.
It was the governor of the state of Colima, Indira Vizcaino Silva, who reported the capture of Abulon in a federal operation.
The state governor indicated that more information would be provided at a later date.
