A decapitated head was found in a cooler next to a narco message in the Zócalo of Acapulco, Guerrero on June 12, in the same location as an explosive attack which left nine injured earlier in the week. The scrawled message blamed the corpse for being responsible for that attack.

Early morning around 3:00 a.m., the severed head was found in a Oxxo cooler with the victims testicles in its mouth. The narcomessage, signed by “El Comandante 18”,  identified the victim as “El Mapache”, allegedly responsible for an explosive attack that injured nine on the 9th of June in the same spot. The message stated that the others responsible for the explosive attack would be hunted down as well.

Following a 911 report, local police forces arrived a the scene to begin their investigation.

The Earlier Explosive Attack

Earlier in the week on the 9th of June, local news reported that an explosive dropped from a drone injured nine people who were in the Malecon plaza, including a baby. Photos show paramedics assisting civilians with injuries, apparently from shrapnel. All of the victims were taken to hospitals in the area.
