“Ivan” for Borderland Beat

Aldrin Miguel Jarquín Jarquín has been detained since March 2022.

In custody since March 2022, Aldrin Miguel Jarquín Jarquín, “El Chaparrito,” a former lieutenant of the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation (CJNG), filed an amparo lawsuit to prevent the execution of an arrest warrant issued in criminal case 133/2022, by a judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center in the State of Mexico, with residence in Almoloya de Juárez.

However, Eutimio Ordoñez Gutiérrez, head of the Fourth District Court for Amparo and Federal Trials in the State of Mexico, gave Jarquín Jarquín, a prisoner in the maximum security prison of Altiplano, five days to clarify the circumstances of time, manner and place where he intends to execute the injunction he is accused of, in order to be able to resolve the matter.

“Since, as stated in the preceding paragraphs, such circumstance is not apparent from his background, which is necessary to determine whether this judge is competent to hear the amparo lawsuit,” Ordoñez Gutiérrez stated.

If the requirements are not complied with within the established term, Judge Ordoñez Gutiérrez stated that the amparo lawsuit will be deemed not to have been filed.
