Cesar Fabian de Anda Navarro, alias “El Chore” or “El Cevichon”, a criminal linked to the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation (CJNG), who was arrested four years ago, escaped for the second time from the Puente Grande prison, Jalisco, last Christmas, according to the General Directorate of Prevention and Social Reinsertion (DGPRIS).
“Last December 25, after concluding visiting hours and after the roll call in the common areas and in the rooms, the absence of a Person Deprived of Liberty (PPL) was detected by the custodians,” says the DGPRIS.
Cesar Fabian ‘N’, 46 years old, was arrested in Jalisco on July 23, 2020, for the crimes of aggravated kidnapping and organized crime.
The criminal had already escaped from the same Puente Grande prison in 2001, where he was serving a sentence for robbery and carrying weapons, and was recaptured in 2003, according to local media.
Four guards were arrested for allegedly failing to carry out surveillance and security protocols, he added.
The arrested guards were identified as David ‘N’, 39 years old; Luis ‘N’, 30 years old; José ‘N’, 40 years old, and Melissa ‘N’, 42 years old.
“Sixteen people were brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office, including prison guards and guards of the Penitentiary Center to take their statements and strengthen the investigation from which four arrest warrants were issued and executed,” said the agency.
