New York City Mayor Eric Adams is calling for New Yorkers to house illegal aliens in their private homes. The sanctuary city continues to struggle to deal with a massive influx of illegals, who are not just being bused to New York City from the border but have made their way there for decades to take advantage of the city ignoring federal immigration laws.
New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams floated the idea during a press conference, in which he was announcing a new plan by his administration to house illegal aliens in houses of worship. But the private homes of New Yorkers are the next step, said Adams, who is apparently preparing to use government funds to spur economically distressed NYC residents into opening up their homes to the same illegals who have trashed countless luxury hotel rooms paid for by Eric Adams and his city government.
“It is my vision, uh, to take the next step of this to go to the faith-based locales and then move to private residents,” Adams said during a Monday press conference, previewing his plan to stash illegals in private homes.
“There are residents who are suffering right now because of economic challenges. They have spare rooms, they have locales,” Adams added.
“If we can find a way to get over the 30-day rule and other rules that government has in its place, we can take that $4.2 billion, 4.3 maybe now that we, potentially, we have to spend [to house illegals in hotels, etc.] and we can put it back in the pockets of everyday New Yorkers, everyday houses of worship, instead of putting it in the pockets of corporations, and some of those corporations come from outside our city,” Adams said.

As previously mentioned, the main purpose of Adams’ press conference was to announce his plans to house illegal aliens in at least 50 houses of worship around New York City.
That housing program comes on the heels of many more in which, among other things, illegal aliens have been housed in active New York City schools, a move that outraged parents.

Many of those who haven’t been housed in schools or been given luxury NYC hotel rooms to trash have been bused to red counties in upstate New York by Mayor Adams, as he takes a page from the books of Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis, and buses illegals even further into the United States interior.
According to a New York City employee who spoke with National File, the city has had social workers and others working virtually around the clock to accommodate illegal aliens.
