After a judge ruled that the arrests of four of the 17 people arrested during the detention of Ovidio Guzmán were considered “illegal”, they were released.
Although the Control Judge argued for the release of the four subjects, it is not known that there were no further details on how the illegality of the arrests was determined.
However, the other 13 people were charged and are now behind bars, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
It should be recalled that the arrest of the 18 people, including Ovidio Guzmán, took place on January 5, following an armed attack between them and members of the National Guard.
In addition, in recent days, Chapo Guzmán’s son assured “I am not the person they think, that the United States is demanding today”, to which the president of the republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, said that these were ‘dilatory practices’, which are aimed at delaying the extradition of the inmate.
