IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, is preparing to welcome attendees to an all-new trade summit in Saudi Arabia in March, following its successful summit in Dubai last year.

On 7 and 8 March, the IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The full summit schedule includes access to the Trade Connections Area, a variety of educational sessions, networking opportunities, and EDUTours like a trip to Boulevard Riyadh City, a 900,000 square metre entertainment zone open from October to March during the annual Riyadh Season festival of entertainment and sports.

The programme also includes an EDUTour to the recently opened Boulevard World, a leisure destination with world-class rides and entertainment. To match their schedules, attendees can choose between a variety of one-day and two-day registration choices.

Supporting leaders worldwide

Subjects to be covered in the educational sessions range from the future workforce for the entertainment sector to an update on developments slated for Saudi Arabia to ongoing supply chain demands to the finer points of providing first-rate customer care.

Vice president and executive director of IAAPA Europe, Middle East, Africa, Peter van der Schans says: “The Middle East is an important region and IAAPA is looking to build more relationships there while growing our membership,” said Peter van der Schans, vice president and executive director of IAAPA Europe, Middle East, Africa.

“Saudi Arabia is in the midst of a boom in the attractions industry, and we are ready to support leaders there in achieving their goals.”

IAAPA and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) are working together to plan this event and promote the nation’s entertainment sector. More than 30 speakers from around the world are included on the programme, including representatives from well-known companies including Six Flags Qiddiya, Europa Park, Liseberg, Compangie des Alpes, and Disneyland Paris.
