A girl and a boy who sold snacks and candy in Juchitán de Zaragoza, Oaxaca, were found dead on the side of a road.
Governor Salomón Jara Cruz condemned the murder of two brothers between 9 and 10 years of age who were selling candy in Juchitán de Zaragoza, in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, and who were found dead in the undergrowth this Saturday.
The bodies of a girl and a boy were found this Saturday 18 around 7 am at kilometer 8+100 of the Juchitán-Ixtaltepec highway, in the vicinity of El Espinal.
The children worked every evening selling fried food in the streets of Juchitán and were identified by their father.
The Oaxaca State Attorney General’s Office initiated investigations after the discovery of the children on the side of the Canal 33 highway, on the El Espinal-Juchitán de Zaragoza stretch, in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
He informed that one person is in custody and testifying in relation to the facts.
The Office of the Attorney General for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Procuraduría de los Derechos de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes) initiated file 130/PRODENNAO/SPE/2023, in which they request an exhaustive and diligent investigation of the double homicide from the Prosecutor’s Office.
