Zak Butters on Hawthorn’s trash talk
Port star Zak Butters speaks about Hawthorn’s brash trash talking both during the week and throughout this season.
“I think they talk all year and it’s where they definitely get some energy from as a group,” he tells Fox Footy.
“Yeah, we looked at it a little bit. It’s footy and you’ve got to have fun, but at the same time we were out there to get the job done tonight.
“Kenny is a passionate man and that’s why we love playing for him.”

Sicily and Hinkley in war of words after tense final
There’s some fiery scenes after the final siren here in Adelaide.
Ken Hinkley mouths off at the Hawthorn players nearby as the two teams prepare for a guard of honour for Luke Breust.
Hawthorn skipper James Sicily is absolutely incensed and returns serve to Hinkley, all while chairing Breust off the ground.
“As a coach, that’s pretty disappointing,” Luke Hodge says on commentary.

“I reckon Ken as a coach would sit back and go, ‘We’ve just had a great win’, you should be talking about how well your team played.
“Instead, a coach is in there mouthing off to a losing side. That’s pretty poor form.”
“You certainly don’t see it very, very often, if at all. There is a lot going on there,” Matthew Richardson adds.
Spicy stuff!
I wonder if that was a response from Hinkley for Jack Ginnivan’s comments during the week where he insinuated that the Hawks were preparing for the Swans prelim clash.
FT: Port Adelaide 11.9 (75) def. Hawthorn 11.6 (72)

Sicily gives the Hawks some life despite close review
A massive goal from Hawthorn skipper James Sicily!
He’s been flung forward by Sam Mitchell in this quarter with the Hawks forward line looking a little dysfunctional and the move pays off.
A stoppage deep inside Hawthorn’s forward 50, and an attempted spike from the ruck contest from Port ruckman Jordon Sweet lands in Sicily’s hands and he snaps it through.
There’s a goal review here for a touch, and it looks mighty close to being touched by Travis Boak, but the ARC stays with the on field call of a goal.
Probably the right call in the end, there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn that one.
Hawks still alive here.
