Good evening to you all! Jeremy Story Carter here joining my colleagues on the live blog for the night and into the morning.
Anyone else suffering a bit of neck-soreness under the weight of all last night’s medals? Not that we’re in the business of gloating, mind you… but there’s been so much to be proud of.
Bit of action going on in the water tonight. We’ve already had a strong Australian performance in the Canoe Sprint —Women’s Kayak Four 500m.
The Aussie team of Ella Beere, Aly Bull, Alexandra Clarke and Yale Steinepreis finished first in their semi-final, just ahead of Norway with a time of 1:34.25. They go through to the final, which is scheduled for 9:40PM AEST tonight. Be sure to tune in for that one.
Elsewhere in Sailing, the Mixed dinghy medal race is underway. Australia has been well represented by Nia Jerwood and Connor Nicholas. They will not be in the mix for a medal but have done brilliantly to make it this far.
