It’s been some big brother, little brother stuff out here through three quarters tonight.

The Hawks came into this running hot and looking to get one over the champs, and the champs have reminded the Hawks and the rest of the comp who they are.

It’s been clinical and ruthless from Brisbane all over the ground, and Hawthorn has looked second rate, to be brutally honest.

Hawthorn’s Josh Ward is the leading ball-winner with 25 touches and he’s also got five clearances, while Will Ashcroft leads the way for the Lions with 24 touches and five clearances of his own.

Kai Lohmann has also put together an incredibly damaging game up forward. He’s kicked 3.2 and has 18 touches and has been a right nuisance all night.

Hawthorn’s 42 inside 50s have yielded just 44 points tonight, and that’s probably why they’re hellbent on getting Ben King to the club next year.

One more quarter to go, Brisbane by 46 points, surely this one is done.
