Konstas and Bumrah return to the scene of the incident

By Michael Doyle

A dramatic final over has the cricket world talking.

Jasprit Bumrah took the wicket of Usman Khawaja with the final ball of the day, then turned to Sam Konstas who just walked past the great bowler.

The pair had words between them just two balls earlier, with Bumrah taking exception to Australia’s perceived time wasting.

The drama that unfolded at the end of play yesterday has set up a mouth-watering day two.

By Michael Doyle

Day one is in the history books. Bring on day two.

Welcome back to the ABC Sport live blog of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

I’m Michael (Mick) Doyle. Jon Healy is with me, and along with the rest of the ABC Sport team, we will bring you the action and drama of cricket at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Yesterday, India was all out for 185 and Australia was 1-9 in reply. But that does not tell the full story.

Scott Boland was excellent with the ball for Australia.

Sam Konstas and Jasprit Bumrah were engaged in a war of words before the end of play, and then Bumrah dismissed Usman Khawaja with the final ball.

What comes from today? If the previous four Tests are any indication, we are in for a day of twists and turns.

BRING IT ON!
