Live updates: Wests Tigers vs Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
Sat 16 May 2026 at 4:04pm
44′ Haumole Olakau’atu is UNSTOPPABLE!
I mean, good luck.
He is an enormous man and it took three Tigers there to even slow him down.
They did provide something of a speed bump after Luke Brooks delivered the short pass.
But they couldn’t stop him from reaching over and slamming the ball down.
Olakua’atu in this sort of form is irresistible.
Sorry in advance, Queensland fans.
The kick is good, the score is 30-8.

41′ We’re back underway
Manly are attacking Caxton Street this half.
Tigers bring the ball back off the Manly kick off.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:51pm
Haumole Olakau’atu is on fire

He has had seven hit ups which have resulted in four tackle busts.
Wow.
From eight runs, he’s made 101 metres.
Huge numbers from the backrower.
Just give the man the ball.

HT: Manly power into lead against tentative Tigers

A very good start for the Sea Eagles has put them in the box seat in this game.
The Tigers defence was absolutely woeful in those opening 20 minutes or so.
However, they tightened up and proved that when they have the ball in Manly territory they can be dangerous.
The difficulty is, keeping it there.
Manly, impressive.
Tigers, need to improve.

40′ Penalty Tigers
Oh, Manly were offside through Ben Trbojevic so the Tigers will have another chance.
This time the siren goes and they’re going to have to take the kick.
They will – although it suspiciously looked as though they attempted another quick tap there.
Jock Madden kicks the extras and it’s 24-8 at the break.

39′ Tigers miss their chance but may get another
Luai attempts a neat grubber through for May, but it is slapped out for a goal-line drop out.
Incredibly, Manly go short.
The Tigers win it, and get another penalty!
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:44pm
38′ Penalty Tigers
Last chance for the Tigers before half time.
Jake Trbojevic was offside for the Sea Eagles.
The Tigers will have a chance inside the Sea Eagles 10.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:36pm
33′ Clayton Faulalo scores!
Very, very nice from the Sea Eagles.
A brilliant try, Haumole Olakau’atu bursting through one tackle, getting the ball away and then releasing Faulalo who races through to score.
BUT HANG ON!
Faulolo has gone down as he’s been tackled over the line and is struggling with his ankle a bit.
He looks a bit sore.

The kick is good, the score is 24-6, a deserved 24-6 too in favour of Manly.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:36pm
31′ Penalty Manly
Oh that’s brilliant from Clayton Faulalo.
Jock Madden kicked at wonderful ball for a 40:20 and it was out for all money but for a superb save by Faulalo at the back, diving and flicking the ball back in before regathering.
However, Madden rather ruins his good work with a swinging arm high shot on Faulalo.

28′ Knock on Tigers
Luai looked to move the ball wide quickly, with Saab just a little bit out of position.
However Ethan Roberts got his hand in the way of a rather loose pass and it’s knocked on
The Sea Eagles have a scrum on their attacking 40.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:31pm
27′ Penalty Sea Eagles
The play of the ball is horrible by Olakau’atu, but the referee rules not clearing the ruck.
That’s a poor decision for mine – but the Tigers don’t challenge.
They will have to defend now though as Manly kick the ball towards half way.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:25pm
23′ Try Tigers!
Good football from the Tigers.
Luai is key, passing to Taylan May who drags Saab out to him
The pass out to Luke Laulilii is good and he races to the line to score.
Lovely stuff from the Tigers, a set play that they are finally able to implement with the ball in a dangerous position.
There are a lot of empty seats at Lang Park at the moment, but most of those that are occupied appear to be occupied by Tigers fans, who roar their approval.
The kick is good and it’s 18-6!
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:25pm
22′ Penalty Tigers!
Now they have a chance to get into the Sea Eagles defensive zone.
Ethan Bullemor with a strip.
AND THEY TAKE IT QUICKLY!
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:22pm
Tigers defence is MIA
Arvo Simon. Did the Tigers defence miss the plane up to Brisbane?
– KB
With plane tickets as expensive as they are, no wonder they left half the team in Sydney.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:21pm
18′ Tigers challenge a strip call
The Tigers are pinged for a strip but they are going to challenge it.
Latu Fainu has his hands near the ball but it doesn’t look like a strip.
The Bunker says it’s inconclusive so the Tigers keep their challenge, but it’s still a penalty.
Jarome Luai is fuming.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:18pm
17′ Manly have another one!
This is getting very, very dangerous for the Tigers.
Luke Brooks moves the ball to the left side this time off the back of a scrum, to Tola Koula, who gets rid of it quickly to Lehi Hopoate, who races through to score.
That is so, so easy.
The kick is good and it’s 18-0.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:17pm
16′ Patrick Herbert on report
Herbert with a dangerous tackle there.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:17pm
13′ Can’t stop Haumole Olakau’atu!
Oh my! Haumole
Olakau’atu just runs over Alex Seyfarth like he’s one of those inflatable tubes in a bouncy castle.

Goodness me.

The Sea Eagles could be in again through Lehi Hopoate but he’s stopped by Heath Mason – a try saver – and then loses the ball.
Tigers survive. Just.
Sat 16 May 2026 at 3:13pm
12′ Penalty Sea Eagles, May on report
Terrell May gets a bit enthusiastic off the kick off and lands a shoulder onto the head of the Manly ball-carrier.
May is on report too.
Tigers are unravelling.
