“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
A new video from the Haitian underworld has been making the rounds for a number of days now. For this broadcast the post death dismembering of a nude female is taking place at the hands of Haitian gang members in the night time hours.
Online sources are mixed in their assessment of what lead to her being hacked into pieces. Some have accused her of being an informant that was inevitably captured and dealt with. Other claims have been made that she was kidnapped and that her family was unable to pay for her release.
Port-au-Prince, the capital and most populous city of Haiti, and other towns have been racked for months by escalating deadly gang warfare, and Haitian media have reported that the country has seen a marked rise in kidnappings since the start of the year.
