MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) – Russia, which occupies a leading position on the global wheat market, intends to boost grain supplies to the countries of the Middle East, and the country is discussing the opportunities with partners, Kremlin presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin said in a statement.

“The [Russian] President [Vladimir Putin] was on a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia yesterday. There they discussed matters on increasing supplies of Russian grain to the markets of these countries,” Oreshkin said on Thursday at the “Russia Calling!” investment forum.
