“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat

The great snitch cartel comes into focus. Famously known worldwide for all the gossiping and finger pointing that they love to do within the American halls of justice against their enemies.

For this broadcast, gunmen for Los Menores / Los Salazares interrogates a captured member of the La Plaza Cartel.

Within his confession, the details of recent executions are revealed on camera. In addition, so are the names and monikers of all players involved in the Mexican underworld.

The following film has been deemed safe for all to see.

Video translation is as follows:

Sicario: Give me your name and moniker.

Captive: My name is Marco Antonio Lopez Felix. I’m known as El Llantero.

Sicario: What do you do for a living?

Captive: I’m a Municipal Policeman and I work locally.

Sicario: Which cartel do you work for?

Captive: I work for the La Plaza cartel.

Sicario: Who’s the the La Plaza boss.

Captive: Jose Gil. He’s a relative of El Cadete and was left in charge once he fell.

Sicario: Give me the names and monikers of those in charge for Jose Gil.

Captive: Tony Quintero, Fernando Calderon aka El Nando, Ruben Hernandez aka El Tío Telcel, El Vaquero, Jorge Rubalcaba, and Javier Espinoza. The rest of the crew I only know them by their monikers. El Avisol, El Colorado, El Tomate, Pedro Palmira, Pedro de La Matilla, El Animales Quiñones, El Tigre, El Agüilla, and El Pulpo.

Sicario: Which functions do these individuals have?

Captive: El Narizón under El Nando is in charge of various executions within the city. Specifically in the northern part of it. El Colorado along with El Tío are in charge of the executions in the southern part of the city. The rest of the guys are in charge of the drug spots. They ensure that no one else is making sales. And if there’s ever a suspicious car around they’re summoned to be investigated. Just the same if that person has any sort of problems with our organization he’s handed over for what comes next.

Sicario: Tell me about all of the executions that you guys have participated in.

Captive: We’ve participated on the orders of El Nando for the executions of Abel Murrieta,

candidate for mayor of the municipality of Sonora, and Commander Jesus Navarro, Operational Director of Public Safety.

My brother and El Psicópata followed him from police headquarters all the way to the ISSSTESON Ophthalmology module. A Toyota Tacoma truck blocks their path and gunfire is unleashed against the police commander. He was shot to death.

Sicario: What other executions have you participated in?

Captive: Commander…
