TDS-Riddled Teachers’ Boss Weingarten Leaps About in On-Stage Rant, Says She Needs Vodka to Cope

We’ve reported extensively on radical teachers’ unions around the country and how they seem to have nothing to do with education or children but instead have morphed into Marxist political organizations. If there were one person who epitomizes the shrill, unhinged, extremist doctrines of these de facto political action committees, it would be the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) president, the TDS-riddled Randi Weingarten.

She was up to her usual antics Thursday as she delivered the keynote address at the AFT conference in Washington, D.C., and then appeared on a panel Friday. During the speech, she repeatedly leapt into the air (not very high, mind you), and then on the panel she complained that her Trump hatred was so bad that she had to reach for the vodka.

What does any of this have to do with educating the nation’s children? This is the epitome of the AWFL phenomenon wreaking havoc and failure across our nation:

Did she address American students’ falling test scores, the fact that reading comprehension for 8th graders is at its lowest levels since 1990, or did she express concern over what academics are calling the “learning recession” occurring in this country? No, she had more important matters to weigh in on — matters that would be more rightly discussed at a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) convention, not at a gathering of supposed educators.

Weingarten, a longtime foe of the president and top Republicans, opened her keynote speech by mocking the White House’s Independence Day cage match and later suggested that the president is an authoritarian whose daily stream of political actions drives her to drink.

In welcoming teachers and activists from around the country, Weingarten quipped: “While you missed the UFC cage fight on the White House lawn, it’s not too late to check out the tire marks in the Reflecting Pool.”

AFT union boss Randi Weingarten turned her keynote speech at the teachers union conference into a full-throated political rally against President Trump, calling him an authoritarian whose flood of actions drives her to drink vodka — then compared his administration to a dying snake convulsing before death.

Weingarten mocked the White House UFC event, name-checked conservative figures like Christopher Rufo and the Heritage Foundation, and urged her members in swing states to vote against the Trump agenda in the midterms. She grew increasingly animated as she pivoted to attacking Elon Musk and other “oligarchs,” at one point jumping on stage as she declared the AFT has “the power of the people.”

The leftist takeover of American education is a primary reason we now face the rise of DSA lunatics in politics and extremist Marxist lawmakers roaming the hallways of Congress. Weingarten is a shining example of everything a president of a union claiming to represent teachers and stand for education should not be.

One word keeps coming to mind: “Horrid.”
