A topic passionately debated on social media news sites relating to organized crime in Mexico is whether Mayo Zambada and his son Mayito Flaco supported Los Chapitos in the skirmish against the Mexican military in the infamous “Jueves Negro”, “Black Thursday” that took place in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Both criminal factions Mayos and Chapos affiliated with the Sinaloa Cartel or Pacific Cartel.

As most of us know that are interested in cartel underworld news, we know that “Jueves Negro” is the infamous rescue of Ovidio Guzman Lopez even though military forces made his capture official. Moreover, cells of organized crime affiliated with the Sinaloa Cartel pressured state, and federal authorities, to release Ovidio Guzman by setting roadblocks of burned vehicles-semi trailers on key street highways, kidnapping military families housed in Culiacán, and provoking armed confrontations against government officials.

There is no way around it, Ivan Archivaldo Guzman-Salazar “El Chapito” son of druglord JGL, and leader of Los Chapitos (Jesus Alfredo, Joaquin) was responsible for the mayhem that took place that day. Also, along with his armed wings like Kevin Alonso Gil Acosta “El 200”, El Gavilan-Los Gavilanes, Los Chimales, Fuerzas Especiales Chuta, Cholo-Vagos or La Numerada, Los Ninis, Fuerzas Especiales Avendaño-FEA, Los Duendes, and so forth.
What really gets the debate going is whether Mayo Zambada actually supported Los Chapos on that infamous day. Rumors, gossip, or as some would “hearsay”!! It is said that no doubt Chapitos caused all the chaos that day, but Mayos were forced to help and get involved in the fight. Further, it is believed that without the involvement of Mayo Zambada, there is no way Ovidio Guzman would have gotten released.
A rumor that has been said and said is that the military forces refused to hand over OVIDIO GUZMAN LOPEZ to Los Chapos. The military only agreed to hand over OVIDIO to Mayo Zambada faction key operatives El Ruso and El Comanche. I decided to share the radio frequency of both operatives talking during the “Jueves Negro” which basically confirms Mayo Zambada participated in that faithful day.
To culminate, we might never know if military forces truly did hand over OVIDIO GUZMAN LOPEZ to EL Ruso rather than Los Chapitos. However, months later rivalry-jealously grew between El Ruso and El Nini, which got EL Ruso shipped out to Mexicali, Baja California. This decision was made by Mayo Zambada to ease tensions aimed at keeping peace in the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa.
