President Donald Trump lashed out at the mainstream media Tuesday while touting the “record” amount of oil flowing through the Strait of Hormuz following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Iran. He said almost 20 million barrels shipped out and oil prices are tumbling:

On Monday, the price of Brent crude, the key benchmark for oil, fell nearly three percent to about $78 a barrel.
The president also said Iran has agreed to nuclear inspections to “infinity”:

Despite their protestations and false statements to the contrary, coupled with the drumbeat of the Fake News, which is doing everything possible to make the U.S. Victory as small and insignificant as possible, Iran has fully and completely agreed to highest level Nuclear inspections long into the future (Infinity!!!). This will insure “Nuclear Honesty.” If they did not agree to this, there would be no further negotiations!
He claimed the Strait is now fully open for business — but American forces are ready to use muscle if things go awry:
Based on this and other major concessions being made by Iran, I have agreed to allow the Hormuz Strait to remain OPEN, with no further Naval Blockade. However, all ships are remaining in place should it be necessary to reinstitute the Blockade, which seems, at this point, highly unlikely.
He added that Iran is experiencing a humanitarian crisis, and that the sanctions relief in the deal will be used for food and medical supplies. The release of funds has been one of the more controversial aspects of the deal:

The Money and/or Sanctions that the U.S. Treasury is releasing goes into escrow, controlled by the U.S.A., and will be used for the purchase of food and medical supplies, exclusively from the United States, including Corn, Wheat, and Soybeans from our great American Farmers. Trump’s Energy Win: Oil Under $80 Despite Iran Conflict
Iran, however, continues to be Iran, and is issuing conflicting messages about the Hormuz situation, saying they’re in charge:
US President Donald Trump has demanded an unconditional reopening of Hormuz to marine traffic, however Iran again pushed back fiercely.
“The Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre-war conditions and will be administered by the Islamic Republic of Iran, in accordance with international law,” Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said, state media reported Tuesday.

The back-and-forth between the U.S. and the slippery leaders of the Islamic Republic continues, but for now, oil is flowing, prices are dropping, and the stock markets are near their all-time highs. Whether the despotic regime continues to negotiate in good faith remains to be seen. Continuing to hold a gun to their heads should help with that.
