Videos reveal how public thank the leader of the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation at an event organized by municipal authorities.

In the municipality of Coalcomán in the state of Michoacán, a public event generated controversy after, according to videos posted on social networks, the event organized by the municipality thanked Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho”, leader of the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation (CJNG), for gifts to local children.
At the event, held in recent days, there was a sign that read:
“The children of Coalcomán thank Mr. Nemesio Oseguera and his sons 2 and 3, and Commander Delta 1 for their noble gesture! Thank you for your gifts!”.
On Nacho Lozano’s Imagen Noticias newscast, headed last night by Crystal Mendivil, it was also reported that last December 10, during the anniversary of the founding of the municipality, a corrido in honor of “El Mencho” was included during a cockfight, in front of local authorities.
Government Reactions
The governor of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, strongly condemned the events through his social networks:
“In Michoacán we condemn the apology of those who promote violence. For this reason, we ask the @FGR to thoroughly investigate the municipal authorities of Coalcomán for their probable links to a criminal group”.
Likewise, the government of the entity requested the removal from office of the mayor of Coalcomán, Anabel Ávila, of the Movimiento Ciudadano party, to facilitate the investigation of her possible involvement in these acts.
The fact has caused indignation in social networks, where users demand strong legal actions against those who participate in these practices, which contribute to the normalization of violence and social control by organized crime.
