“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
The Attorney General’s Office of the State of San Luis Potosi (FGESLP) initiated investigations into the events that occurred in Villa de Ramos, where members of the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA) were attacked by armed civilians.
As a result of this operation, six members of the criminal group were killed, and one soldier lost his life in the line of duty.
The soldiers also managed to secure weapons and vehicles in the town of “Dulce Grande”, where they were attacked.
The FGESLP’s Scientific Vice-prosecutor’s Office forensic services went to the site to process the scene of the events and collect evidence, which will be analyzed.
They also ordered the transfer of the bodies to the Servicio Médico Legal (SEMELE) to perform the autopsies.
So far, the presumed victims are unknown, and the Investigative Police (PDI) is working to determine their identity.
As part of the security deployment, there are police from the State Civil Guard (GCE) and other corporations guarding and conducting patrols in the area, bordering the state of Zacatecas.
