“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
The body of a woman was abandoned just under a pedestrian bridge in full view of drivers.
The woman had her feet bound and a cardboard covering half her body with a threatening message.
The incident occurred on the main road to the municipality of Cortazar on the outskirts of the municipality of Villagrán, a hundred meters from the mega flagpole. So far the identity of the victim is unknown.
According to the authorities at the scene, it was at approximately 10:10 a.m. on Monday morning when it was reported that under the bridge, a woman’s body was found tied up with a cardboard with a written message.
A woman’s body was found in Villagrán: She also had a plastic bag over her head.
Municipal Police, the Mexican Army and State Public Security Forces intervened and located the woman’s body.
The woman was bound by her feet with gray tape, had a plastic bag over her head, was wearing blue pants and on her was a card signed by a criminal group.
There were visible traces of violence on the body, and since she no longer had vital signs, the authorities proceeded to cordon off the scene and reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The victim was not identified at the scene, and after the investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office, the Forensic Medical Service transferred the body for necropsy.
