Many of us on the right tend to approach political poll results with a hefty dose of skepticism after years of questionable findings being presented as fact. Remember that Ann Selzer poll out of Iowa that conveniently dropped just days before the 2024 presidential election showing Kamala Harris with a jaw-dropping 3 percent lead over Donald Trump in a state he had twice won handily?

Kamala had it in the bag! And Democrats clung to that false hope all throughout the last weekend of the campaign and into Election Day. If she was leading in Iowa, she was a shoo-in to take the popular vote AND the Electoral College. O frabjous day!
Cue Sister Toldjah’s sad trombone. As we now know, Trump thrashed Harris by a whopping 16 points in Iowa, and pollster Ann “Best in the Business” Selzer soon announced her retirement.
A new poll from Pew Research Center, however, seems entirely believable when it comes to just how lame Democrats have become, showing that a full 81 percent of them admit their midterm vote will amount to nothing more than a vote against Donald Trump.

Here’s the big picture view of what the poll found:
These are among the key findings of a new Pew Research Center survey conducted from July 6 to 12 among 3,554 U.S. adults, including 2,779 registered voters. The survey also finds that President Donald Trump looms large in the campaign. Most voters say the president is a factor in their vote – though by roughly two-to-one, voters are more likely to say they think of their vote this fall as a vote against Trump (42%) than to say they think of it as a vote for him (22%).

When you zoom in on the poll results for Democrats, you find that nothing matters more than defeating Donald Trump and his supporters. Not the economy, not education, not national security, not crime nor AI. Donald Trump and MAGA. That’s it. That’s all they’ve got.

And it’s precisely because “that’s all they’ve got” that they find their party being taken over by their commie brethren – although many rank-and-file Democrats might not yet realize that’s what they’ve let happen – who hate Trump in equal amounts, but hate America, as a whole, even more.
There’s probably a military term for this – the Democrat Party’s decade-long bout of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) left their left flank exposed (or something like that), and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are taking full advantage of the situation.
“Parasite” is another particularly apt and timely term for the current Dem debacle. While Democrats put their full focus on Trump and allowed their TDS to rage untreated, they left themselves vulnerable to the political parasites of the DSA, who were in search of a host and found it.

It’s not unusual for the sitting president to loom large in midterm elections, but it is extremely unusual for a major political party to admit it doesn’t have a particularly good reason to exist beyond hating one man. Democrats are lame and they just admitted it.
