ADEN, Yemen — The Yemeni government and Houthi rebels on Sunday concluded the three-day UN-sponsored talks in Jordan on the prisoner swap with “positive” outcomes.

AMMAN — The World Bank Group announced on Sunday that it has approved 250 million U.S. dollars in financing to improve the efficiency of water services in Jordan.

The project, which seeks to provide 1.6 million people with improved water services across the country, will help enhance services through the rehabilitation of water distribution networks, improving energy efficiency and strengthening the drought management system in the country, according to a statement by the World Bank. DAMASCUS — Three soldiers were killed and six others wounded when a roadside bomb blasted into their bus in the central province of Homs on Sunday, pro-government Sham FM radio reported.

The bomb ripped through the bus at the al-Jabriyeh intersection on the road toward the town of Mushirfeh in the eastern countryside of Homs, said the report. (Syria-Roadside Bomb Attack-Fatalities)

KUWAIT CITY — A new Kuwaiti government led by Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was formed on Sunday, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Since Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was appointed Prime Minister on July 24, 2022, this new government is the fifth one formed by him which has 15 ministers, including five new ones. (Kuwait-New Gov’t)
