Last Sunday, December 31, an intense police operation was carried out in the Villas Universidad neighborhood, in which a criminal cell was dismantled; six people have been arrested.
The Spokesperson from the State Peacebuilding Roundtable detailed this Tuesday -through a press release- about the deployment of elements of the Zacatecas Immediate Reaction Force; the State Preventive Police, Mexican Army and National Guard, carried out in the Villas Universidad neighborhood, revealing that among the people detained there are two women, identified as Adriana N., 24 years old, originally from the state of Aguascalientes; Lorena N., 23 years old, from Venezuela.
As well as Luis Fernando N., 23 years old, from the state of Tabasco; Armando N., 56 years old; Hugo Alonso N., 30 years old, both from Jalisco and Victor N., 34 years old, from Colombia.
During the operation, three firearms, 12 magazines, dozens of rounds, two vehicles corresponding to a Ford and a Honda sedan were seized, as well as 39 wrappers with marijuana, 60 doses of cocaine and around one hundred doses of crack cocaine.
The detained persons, as well as the weapons, vehicles and the drugs, were handed over to the competent authorities so that they could carry out the legal investigation.
