“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat
Agents of the Investigative Police of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Tamaulipas secured 85 packages of fentanyl that were sent by parcel from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, to Matamoros.
This was the result of an anonymous call alerting that four cardboard boxes containing substances containing a type of narcotic were found in a parcel business.
Investigating police officers went to the site in the Lucero neighborhood, where after a search they found 35 colored packages of fentanyl, 50 blue packages of fentanyl, 10 medium-sized bags of crystal meth, approximately half a kilogram, and 10 large bags with approximately one kilogram.
The seized items were taken to the offices of the Attorney General’s Office, where they were handed over to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office.
