Youtuber was murdered 5 years ago in Zapopan
At 5:20 a.m. today, members of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) arrested Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, brother of Nemesio Osegura Cervantes, known as “El Mencho,” leader of the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation (CJNG).
According to preliminary information, Antonio Oseguera, identified by authorities as “Tony Montana,” is in custody after his arrest and is being transferred.
“Tony Montana” is at the top of the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation, from which he formed the Elite Group, which is the cartel’s armed group. According to government reports, Antonio Oseguera initially put his security chief, Emilio Alexandro Pinedo, “El Sobrino,” in charge.
In 2018, “El Sobrino” was arrested for the attack in May of that year against former prosecutor Luis Carlos Nájera.
What “El Pirata de Culiacán” said about “El Mencho”.
That day, the former Jalisco prosecutor was leaving a restaurant located on Chapultepec Avenue in the capital of the state of Jalisco. An armed group was waiting for him at the doors of the establishment and fired dozens of bullets to kill Nájera, who managed to escape.
When “El Sobrino” was arrested, it was known that there were some conversations with “Tony Montana”, now arrested. Among the conversations, he talked about the attack on the former Jalisco prosecutor, but he also had photos of “bodies destroyed by gunshots and beatings. One of them was that of youtuber Juan Luis Laguna Rosales, El Pirata de Culiacán”, according to an investigation by EL UNIVERSAL columnist Héctor de Mauleón.
On December 18, 2017, a commando of the CJNG Elite Group went to a bar in Zapopan, Jalisco, where “El Pirata de Culiacán” was drinking, whom they killed with 18 bullets. The images of the youtuber’s corpse were found on “El Sobrino’s” cell phone.
“El Pirata de Culiacán” was a youtuber who used to show himself drinking and with guns. On one occasion, he uploaded a video in which he was drunk and said: “Mencho can suck it”.
