It’s time to raise the bar, because our very own Nicola Olyslagers and Eleanor Patterson are warming up for the start of the high jump qualifiers.
Olyslagers, the silver medal winner from Tokyo 2020, comes in to the games in good form, jumping a PB of 203cm in Adelaide earlier this year.
Since Tokyo, Patterson won the world title in 2022.
The bar height today is starting at 183cm.
A jump of 197cm will get you straight into the final, but the top 12 from both will advance to Sunday’s medal round.
