Melbourne climbs into the AFL’s top four with a 16-point victory over North, but will sweat on the fitness of Daniel Turner, who was taken to hospital for scans of his rib.

Later, Carlton and Collingwood face off at the MCG, and West Coast hosts the Brisbane Lions at Perth Stadium.

Earlier on Saturday, Fremantle used a dominant second half performance to run out 15.13 (103) to 11.9 (75) winners against a plucky Port Adelaide side at the Adelaide Oval.

Later on Saturday night arch-rivals Collingwood and Carlton face off with the Blues needing a win over the Magpies at the MCG to stay in touch with the top-10. The late game in Perth sees West Coast host the Brisbane Lions.

QT: West Coast 5.2 (32) leads Brisbane 2.5 (17)

By Henry Hanson

Upset in brewing in Perth?

The Eagles were by far the better of the sides in the opening minutes of that quarter, but the Lions have slowly clawed their way back into this one.

But the big incident from that quarter was Harley Reid appearing to hurt himself in a coming together with Noah Answerth.

We haven’t seen the West Coast star since the incident, with it looking like he did further damage on the bench while receiving treatment.

We’ll keep you updated.

HT: Collingwood 6.2 (38) leads Carlton 4.6 (30)

That was nearly a horror end to the half for Collingwood, as Darcy Cameron’s clearing kick went straight to Brodie Kemp in the final seconds.

But Kemp lined up after the siren and his kick went way to the left and was chopped off.

An eight-point lead to the Magpies leaves the crowd happy but a bit relieved. That was a ferocious second quarter, with Collingwood kicking 3.2 to 2.2.

The Blues are still in range here, but they will have to go the rest of the game without Harry McKay. We will be interested to see the extent of his knee injury after the game.

Sensational mark from Lohmann

By Henry Hanson

Brisbane beginning to wrestle back a bit of control and territory after a very impressive Eagles start.

Cop this hanger from Kai Lohmann!

Dan Houston blazes a kick wide for the Pies

By Andrew McGarry

Collingwood are finishing this half strongly, and they have been switching it around outside 50.

They get it to Dan Houston, and he unloads one of his big kicks, but it slides right for a point.

Bad miss from the Lions

By Henry Hanson

Another poor kick from the Lions, who have kicked 2.4 so far in the first quarter.

Logan Morris doesn’t even muster a behind this time, shanking his set shot across the sticks.

Eagles by 16 in the wet at Perth Stadium.

De Goey kicks one and the Magpies have two in a row

By Andrew McGarry

This second quarter has had the dial turned up to 11!

The Pies break clear thanks to an error from Carlton, they swing it inside 50 to a mark, then it’s handballed over the top to Jordan De Goey, and he slams it deep into the stands for a goal!

That’s two in a row for Collingwood. Can they keep control here?

We’re going goal for goal at the MCG

By Andrew McGarry

This is a ripping game!

The Magpies are lifting again, and they force an error near 50 as Beau McCreery punches the ball out.

McCreery has the kick, and he thumps one from beyond 55 metres out!

It goes through! The Pies edge ahead once more, 5.1 to 4.5.

Now Pendles hands one back for Collingwood!

By Andrew McGarry

This game is just very tight right now, and the slightest move can be costly.

The Blues went inside 50, and the ball was pinging around, it came to Scott Pendlebury, and the Pies veteran handballed straight to a Carlton player.

Mitch McGovern gladly takes adavantage and slams it through!

The Blues are back in front.

Eagles kick four straight

By Henry Hanson

Things have gotten a little slippery in the west with the heavens opening, but the Eagles don’t look bothered in the slightest.

They have kicked four goals straight!

Jobe Shanahan is the latest to slot, spilling a mark but doing enough to angle in and earn the Eagles a 21-point lead!

Blues error, West goal puts Magpies back in front

By Andrew McGarry

That Carlton lead may have stung the Magpies, as they try to hit back.

They have raised the pressure, and the Blues were under the pump inside 50.

Harry Dean tried to handball wide, but it went straight to a Collingwood player, who fed it to Charlie West and West snapped the Pies back in front!

West misses for the Magpies

By Andrew McGarry

Not sure quite how damp it is out there, but maybe the kicking boots aren’t quite on.

Carlton turned the ball over, and the Magpies pounced. It took a few efforts, but they got it to Charlie West in the right forward pocket.

The fourth gamer’s kick slewed across goal, however and just in for a point.

Carlton leads by four.

Cottrell miss spoils big Carlton move

By Andrew McGarry

Carlton are in charge here, but they can’t quite take full toll.

They are winning contests and using the ball well. Patrick Cripps handballed on the wing, and it was sent on, then a chip inboard to Matthew Cottrrell to mark 40 out.

Great chance, but he misses the kick!

Hutchinson done for the day

By Henry Hanson

Another soft tissue injury for Jack Hutchinson, who hobbled off a couple minutes earlier.

He’s been ruled out of the game.

Jagga Smith puts Carlton ahead

By Andrew McGarry

Loading Twitter content

The absence of their key forward is not making a huge difference so far for Carlton.

They force a forward 50 stoppage, the ball comes to a Magpie who is grabbed, and he kicks as he is slung.

The ball bobbles out to Jagga Smith, who charges on to it and wobbles a kick through from just inside 40.

Carlton hit the front early in the second term. That’s four goals in a row for the Blues.

Eagles hit the front early

By Henry Hanson

Jack Hutchinson misses a set shot and looks like he’s injured himself. He hobbles off the field for some treatment, before the Lions go coast to coast and Eric Hipwood goals for the Lions.

But the Eagles hit back with two quick majors, with Jobe Shanahan and Milan Murdock slotting for the hosts.

Eagles by six.

Harry McKay is out of the game

By Andrew McGarry

Harry McKay of the Blues is seen with medical staff during the 2026 AFL Round 19 match between the Collingwood Magpies and the Carlton Blues at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on July 18, 2026 in Melbourne, Australia.

Harry McKay has been talking to the doctors at quarter time, and as the rain begins to fall, he is walking off and grabbing a jacket.

It looks like his night is over after that knee issue from a collision in a contest.

He’s not playing any more part in this one, and that’s a huge blow for Carlton.
