We’ve seen Democrats posturing and tossing out all kinds of propaganda about the Delaney Hall ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey. That’s helped to whip up the anti-ICE violence that has happened over the past two weeks.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has threatened a lawsuit to get Delaney Hall shut down.
Even House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) was there with members of Congress from New Jersey, demanding that Delaney Hall be closed down. His video, however, was seriously lacking in any real evidence. He claimed people were being held who had “no criminal record.” He skipped over the fact that entering illegally is a crime, and that yes, you can be detained and deported if you are here illegally.
But the Department of Homeland Security X account schooled Jeffries and the others on the law and the facts.

That wasn’t the only rebuttal of the Democratic propaganda.
Check out this clip of Border Czar Tom Homan just ripping them to shreds. He was livid about the lies. He detailed what he had observed in his own visits.

Homan even made a surprise visit this weekend and ate with the detainees.
“And I made sure my tray equaled their tray! I had spaghetti and meat sauce. I had beans. I had green beans. I had bread and rolls. I had drinks. I had dessert. The food was good.”
“It’s all a false premise,” he declared. He torpedoed the “hunger strike” claim as well, noting people who might not be eating the food provided were buying food from the commissary. We previously reported on this, and the regular menu looked pretty good.

“There wasn’t any abuse. There’s not inhumane conditions, I went through the entire facility,” he explained.
Homan made clear that the facility wasn’t going anywhere, and detainees would not be released, particularly the people they were required to detain by law.
Homan wasn’t the only person going in and rebutting the propaganda with facts.
Here is Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew (NJ-02) also decimating the claims. Unlike Hakeem Jeffries and like Tom Homan, Van Drew detailed all the services that he had checked/seen.
Van Drew said he was actually surprised how nice it was, that he thought it would be “okay.”

I toured Delaney Hall today to see the facts for myself.
What I saw was clean, organized, and well-run.
Clean dorms. On-site doctors, nurses, and dentists. A law library. A regular library. A gym. A soccer field. Meals for allergies, kosher requirements, religious needs, and medical restrictions.
So let’s stop pretending this is about conditions.
Van Drew deemed it all “bad political theater” and said the left was “just lying to us.”
That seems to be a feature, not a bug, of the Democrats.
