Hello folks and welcome to a triple header of NRL action for your Sunday afternoon, all with a definite Queensland flavour in keeping with the Maroons’ stunning win on Wednesday in Perth.
My name is Simon Smale and, with some much going on in the world at the moment, I would like to welcome you all into my sports moat where we can do our best to shield ourselves from the worst of it and ride out the storm with the sight of 26 men at a time running head-long into each other on a footy pitch.
We’ll start our sojourn into the most important of the unimportant things in Brisbane where the Broncos will host the Sharks at Lang Park.
We’ll switch to Sydney then, where the Cowboys will ride into town to take on the Roosters.
Then it’s out to the western suburbs where Parramatta will take on the Titans.
Thanks, as ever, for being with me and part of the conversation, I look forward to our lengthy Sunday afternoon together.
