We must keep fighting for our country, just as SSG Alan W. Shaw would do if he were here.
Things Do Not Go Well for Dem Senator When He Shows Up at Detention Center Amid Anti-ICE Action
They were chanting, “Quit your job,” and “Why are you hiding your face?” at the federal agents — even though some of the activists were wearing masks. The hypocrisy seemed to escape them.
Good luck to these residents — at least they’re trying to take a stand.

Bearing Arms — What We Know About the Suspects in San Diego Shooting
We’ll know more in the coming days, but don’t be surprised if the information released by authorities doesn’t point to any kind of coherent philosophy or belief system other than a general desire to burn society to the ground; not “left-wing” or “right-wing” extremism, but extremism for extremism’s sake.
ICE activists are back at it here in America, and I expect this to be a long, hot summer with lots of political violence. The left will latch onto it as proof that our society is fundamentally evil, and urge us to let the soft-terrorists have what they want.
PJ Media — Tulsi Gabbard and Others Go Above and Beyond for a Gold Star Widow
All I can say is thank God for people like Alan and Sharrell Shaw who are willing to give so much for our country. And thank God for the patriots who went to Alan’s grave today to pay their respects — people from all walks of life, as Sharrell said, coming together to say thank you. This is what makes the United States great

Townhall — The DNC’s Memorial Day Post Was So Gross, They Deleted It
Was this worse than when Kamala Harris said we should “enjoy the long weekend” during the Biden wilderness years?
The Woody doll in particular irks many commenters because there’s already a fictional black sheriff who deserves his own action figure, aka collectible.
WHAT’S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill…
Again, the critters are out on a “District Work Week,” so we won’t be seeing any votes or hearings this week. They’ve still got a lot to figure out upon their return, not least of which is reconciliation.
Oh…and there’s this run-off election in Texas today that could decide whether Sen. John Cornyn (R) will be returning to the Senate in 2027 or passing the baton…

Keeping Up With the Cabinet
Sec. Labor – Keith Sonderling (acting) — Sonderling is underscoring the DOL’s role in helping to stem the rampant fraud and corruption involving taxpayer dollars.
We’re recovering stolen taxpayer dollars and pursuing the criminals and fraudsters responsible for committing one of the worst fraud schemes in American history.
Make no mistake—under @POTUS, these bad actors will face swift and decisive justice. ⚖️ https://t.co/J3XNWztooC

Full Court Press…
It looks like the Supreme Court will be handing down more decisions on Thursday. We’ll be watching those closely, of course.
COMING ATTRACTIONS
Vice President JD Vance is slated to deliver the commencement address at the U.S. Air Force Academy on May 28.
President Trump is set to attend the G7 Summit in Évian-Les-Bains, France, in mid-June.
MORNING MUSING
As noted above, today is primary runoff day in Texas. There’s more than just the Senate race on the line — Republican Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) is facing off with state Sen. Mayes Middleton for the GOP nomination for Texas Attorney General. There are a few congressional runoffs as well.
But…of course, the big one is the Senate race. Now in his 24th year in the Senate, John Cornyn has become a bit of a fixture on the Hill — but that may be part of the problem. Will Texans decide it’s time for someone less establishment-y and give the nod to current state AG Ken Paxton?
Can’t wait to see. 🍿
