Dems dug themselves a big hole with their presumptive candidate for Senate in Maine, and he proved that again during his rally with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Monday.

Sanders was all in, supporting Platner at the “Fighting Oligarchy” rally in Portland, Maine.

“The last time, well, before last night, I shared a state with Senator Standers, it was here in Portland, 13 days after we had launched this campaign. It felt surreal then, and to tell you the truth, it still feels as surreal today.”

What did Platner just call Bernie? Sen. “Standers.” Did the blue-haired girl behind him catch that?

He didn’t just do it once.

He gaffed the pronunciation a second time while closing out his speech, which was a lead-in to Sanders’ own address.

Why is Bernie standing with the guy who had a Nazi tattoo? Well, this is why, because Platner is all in on the radical leftist values, too. He told the crowd things like, “We can take back the wealth that belongs to us.”

Belongs to you? Based on what?

He wants to target wealth where “it has been hoarded.”

“There’s absolutely no question that if we target the wealth where it has been hoarded for decades and put it into social programs like healthcare, childcare, paying teachers what they are worth,” Platner declared.

That sounds like straight-up class warfare. Then, when you grab all the money of the “wealthy,” and you still have the problems you can’t solve with leftist social programs by throwing money at, then what? You drop lower to grab more from the less “wealthy.”

Despite all the controversy between the tattoo and the vile comments, Platner has had Democrats like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and others rally around him.

But one Democrat is calling Platner out, and it’s a guy in Massachusetts, no less.

Rep. Jake Auchincloss (MA-04) was on CNN with anchor Boris Sanchez when Sanchez asked about whether he would weigh in on Platner.

“I’ve been clear about Graham Platner. I find that tattoo and his commentary about it to be personally disqualifying. I hope Maine voters agree with me. I think it would be a mistake for the Democratic Party to think that Graham Platner’s brand of the Democratic Party is what wins us durable majorities throughout this country.”

“Wow,” Sanchez replied.

Good for Auchincloss, but that should be a basic, obvious response. The fact that it isn’t from many of the Democrats, even after his vile comments about our service members, says everything about how twisted they are.
