“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat

Relatives and friends of Daniela, Viviana, Paola, and José held a march yesterday in the capital of Zacatecas, to demand that the young individuals be located alive, after their disappearance last December 25, while they were traveling from Jerez to Colotlán, Jalisco.

Before noon, the contingent advanced along several avenues to the Plaza de Armas in the historic center of Zacatecas.

Upon arriving at the Government Palace, the protesters pasted posters and banners on the walls to demand the return of the boys alive.

The family members assured that the area where the young people were last seen, is named by the citizens as “the Bermuda Triangle”, due to the fact that dozens of people have disappeared in a similar way, reported local newspapers.

Finally, the parents were received by the Secretary General of Government, Gabriela Pinedo.

A group of friends and relatives of Frida Santamaría García, murdered last year, held a demonstration at the judicial headquarters of Sahuayo, Michoacán, in and the central offices of calzada La Huerta.

The protest began around 13:00 hours this Wednesday, outside the courthouse where the hearing of the case was being held.
