To the Editor:

I find it interesting that the tribes of the Middle East use tribe names about aggressive violent extortion events, but the news calls the other people in the country, the name of the country. So I ask how is the tribes, not acting like cartel gangs or guerilla fighters in other countries? Extortion by violence and fear, is how these tribal gangs are acting and ruling others. Ruling by forcing citizens into compliance into Islam or die? I believe Americans are misled by the media and the Middle East by using words/names as a way of separating the act of violence from the actual country.

Hamas is a tribe. Palestine the name of the country? Different tribes exist within the country. Houthi (Yemen)  Hezbollah (Lebanon) …. all Tribes but militant political parties. All Isalmic extreme militant groups. These countries gave these groups power. How many people actually know the country they belong to? Are they in charge of running the countries government? Can any American tell the difference? If you name the actual Tribe in charge of the countries government …..then you can exclude making accountable the country for the violent acts and strikes on shipping and violence on citizens.

It’s a simple fact that this way of reporting in journalism is confusing and it should stop.

If Hamas runs Palestinian then it is Palestine that did the horrible act of kidnapping, hurting, and killing Isreal citizens at a music festival. Call it like it is. It’s awful that areas of Africa and in the Middle East are rulled by Terrorist groups. But it has to come from inside their countries, for change to happen. If Catholics were trying to abolish all other religions as government rulling countries with terrorists violence..would students be protesting for their freedom to do so? If Middle Eastern countries continue to try to force Islam on the world, nothing will change. The people there, have to resist the drive to force others into a religion. This includes Saudi. We cannot keep doing the work or intervene for them, because they don’t want to. Apathy is agreeing.
