Spencer Pratt May Have Just Pulled Off What Every LA Insider Said Was Impossible
If the numbers hold, Los Angeles is headed for a November showdown between a career politician defending a troubled record and a political outsider who lost his home in a fire she failed to prevent.
Joe Biden Crashes Jill’s Book Interview With Incredibly Cringey Comments
This was the guy they had been trying to sell to us to vote for initially in 2024. Had they pulled it off, can you imagine what would be going on now?
DHS Sec. Mullin Delivers Epic Takedown of Chris Murphy and His Attack on the DHS
He does it because the Democrats are desperate to attack President Donald Trump and wrest power from the Republicans. And that’s despicable. But Mullin, Murphy’s former colleague, brought Murphy up short with a little reality. Murphy deserves this, and so much more.
Trending Across Townhall Media
Now that it’s unlikely that Hollywood is going to cast the 65-year-old actress as Jane Wick, suddenly her principles won’t let her take part in violent films.
Convenient.
HotAir — CBS Fires Scott Pelley After Pelley Tries Very Hard to Get Fired
Bilton is running this show now, Weiss is running CBS News, and David Ellison is running the outfit that cuts their paychecks every fortnight. If you don’t like it, the door is right there. That’s a necessary beginning for reform.

PJ Media — CBS Fires Professional Prevaricator Scott Pelley
It has taken a while for Bari Weiss to get things moving at CBS News, but she’s coming into her own now. She’s engaged in a corporate version of draining the Swamp and it’s not easy. It’s looking more and more possible every day, though.
Townhall — John Cornyn Is Crashing Out Over His Horrendous Electoral Loss
While Cornyn spent the day lamenting his own failure, Paxton and Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick met with President Donald Trump to discuss strategy to ensure that the GOP retains control of Texas.
It probably won’t be long until Pelley joins Acosta and Don Lemon on their podcasts to whine about getting canned by Bari Weiss and CBS News.

MORNING MUSING
I was busy serving as a panelist for the St. Charles County Executive debate Tuesday evening, so was a bit late to the news of Scott Pelley’s well-deserved canning by CBS News. Clearly, this was his desired result based on his reported actions over the past few days. But there is an interesting aspect to his apparent self-sabotage: It appears to stem, at least in part, from some extraordinary hubris. It’s almost as if Pelley thought that he ran the show. He didn’t. And now he really doesn’t.

It’s a similar concept for elected leaders: When they forget who works for whom, the voters occasionally quite happily remind them.
That’s as it should be.
